Even though the discussion was brief John Fetterman was vehement in decriminalizing cannabis. The national law of the United States regarding this cannabis plant has obviously discouraged many people, but hopefully due to the discussion between President Joe Biden and Fetterman many people believe that there will be a change in the Controlled Substances Act.

The cannabis plant of marijuana is already legalized in 35 states, and it allows people to use it for recreational purposes legally. So if it is legalized throughout the United States this situation will be increased in a large number because it already exists in a certain area of the United States.
However, by decriminalizing marijuana the United States would definitely save a lot of money because it costs a lot to implement these laws and to protect them also it is said that it costs a lot to maintain these policies.
Also there are instances where this Cannabis plant is helpful in finding remedies for certain diseases. But because of this criminalization of marijuana that great advantage has gone away from people who need it. There are States where recreational marijuana is legal for example Colorado, Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Washington, D.C, California, Maine. So this would be spread all over the United States if it is to decriminalize this Cannabis plant of marijuana. However there can be negative consequences of decriminalizing marijuana because some people get addicted to the drugs that are made of them which is one of the major problems in it. Also it is said that marijuana is having a high price and that can be reduced if it is legalized which could be a disadvantage for a certain group of people.
However we should look forward to what President Joe Biden would do after his discussion with John Fetterman.
